Eject leaves an image in your library. Remove deletes its library entry and its playlist references. Your original files are not changed.
Library storage is opening…
Ordered disk slots, including duplicates. Mount a slot to swap disks without restarting the C64. Alt + D goes forward; Alt + Shift + D goes back.
A portable .c64playlist includes the disk images, order and write-protection settings. It does not include emulator ROMs or a running game state.
Off means disconnected: no drive CPU, timers or serial-bus output. The inserted disk is kept. Switching on restarts only that drive.
Instant transfer. Program unpacking still runs on the C64.
Hardware mode requires your C64 KERNAL, BASIC and 1541 ROMs.
Full machine snapshots
Resume at the saved instruction without booting or reloading the game. Includes memory, chips, cartridge, all four drives and the active disk set.
Quick slots are separate for each game or playlist. Export a .c64state file for an independent backup. Import restores the snapshot itself, not a BASIC LOAD command. Existing .c64state files are also accepted.
Select a preset or click a binding below. Numpad presets leave the arrow keys available as C64 cursor keys. Numpad directions work with Num Lock on or off.
Reassign any physical key to a C64 key. These overrides take priority over the joystick preset. The on-screen C64 keyboard always retains its original layout.
Left Alt is reserved for app shortcuts. F9 toggles the keyboard; F11 and F12 remain browser controls. Escape cancels a binding capture. Right Alt still sends the Commodore key unless remapped.
Connect a controller and press a button.
Click a binding, release the controller, then press a button or move a stick. The second controller uses the other joystick port. Mappings are saved per controller name.
Touch an empty part of the chosen area to place the joystick. Slide to move; lift to release. Fire buttons, the keyboard and the right-edge menu gesture keep priority. The first visible Touch Studio D-pad supplies its mappings, size and appearance.
Add, move, resize and remap buttons. Includes layers, chords, toggles, repeat, macros, double taps, long presses and swipes. Settings follow your current global or per-game control scope.
Drag the D-pad, A, B and shortcut keys to any position. Portrait and landscape positions are saved separately. The keyboard stays hidden until you press Keyboard or F9.
Profiles activate when you launch a game. Disks in an active playlist share one game profile; swapping disks never switches the running game’s controls.

Tap Sound to start audio.
Approximate analog filtering. Sound is muted above normal emulation speed.
A larger reserve absorbs brief browser stalls, at the cost of more sound latency. It cannot compensate for sustained emulation slowdown.
Display adjustments only. The emulated palette and game logic are unchanged.
All filters are written into this HTML. No external shaders, libraries or model downloads. Cubic and 4× modes cost more processing time on phones. These are spatial filters, not AI upscaling.
Both modes target full-rate PAL video and sound. Fast mode batches chip interactions; timing-sensitive loaders and raster effects may require Cycle-accurate. Drive power switches are under Library → Drives & tape.
Original replacement firmware
Bulk import accepts loose ROM files with or without a filename extension, plus ZIP archives and files in ZIP subfolders. Names such as “kernal”, “my-kernal-backup” and “basic” are detected without renaming. ROMs are saved automatically when browser storage is available. The 1541 needs a combined 16 KB ROM; individual 8 KB drive chip dumps are reported but not installed.
Imported ROMs are remembered in this browser.
Portable copies include your ROMs inside the HTML. They keep working when you move the file or when browser storage is unavailable. Control and display preferences are included. Games and save states are not included.
Use decimal or $hex addresses. The included BASIC interpreter is a small original subset of BASIC.
Current sprite pointers and VIC register settings. The viewer reads the same memory bank as the VIC, without modifying it. Fetched data and visible pixel totals are included in diagnostics.
Disabled sprites can still have graphics in memory. Enable bits, DMA activity, priority and raster writes decide whether they appear in the actual game.
MOSaiC64 initialized.
Open a D64, T64, PRG, G64, TAP or supported CRT. Select its program, then Load & run.
Open both sides of a game together. Use Library → Next disk when prompted. Space or Fire often skips a crack intro.
Enable audio under Sound. Save your progress in Library → Save states.
On the touch keyboard, tap Shift, Ctrl or C= to latch it for the next key. Tap SHIFT LOCK to lock Shift. RESTORE sends an NMI.
Use Left Alt for app shortcuts; Right Alt is Commodore. Shortcuts leave text fields alone. Browser-reserved shortcuts may require the on-screen button.
Open a .crt file, select it, then Load & run. Alt + R restarts the cartridge.
Supported hardware: Normal 8K / 16K / Ultimax, Ocean, Magic Desk, EasyFlash and GMod2 (512 KB ROM plus 2 KB EEPROM). Other CRT hardware types show a specific error.
Bank selection, control registers and cartridge RAM are included in save states. GMod2 EEPROM saves are included in states and stored per cartridge when browser storage is available. Flash programming and freezer cartridges are not implemented.
Library → Drives & tape → Eject from drive detaches an inserted cartridge and resets the C64. Disk ejection does not reset. Starting a disk or tape program also detaches it.
Original JavaScript CPU, VIC-II, SID, file loaders, drive model and interface. No downloaded emulator code, libraries or ROMs.
PAL video, three SID voices and hardware drives 8–11. Both performance profiles keep the same emulated timing. Unusual fastloaders, raster tricks and analog sound still have the existing compatibility limitations.
Runs offline. On mobile, open the HTML in a browser that executes local files. Where native fullscreen is unavailable, immersive mode fills the browser viewport.

Includes every game profile, keyboard and controller mapping, touch widget and embedded button image. Does not include games, ROMs or save states. A portable HTML copy also embeds all these settings.
Checking…
Private browsing, clearing site data or an operating-system force-close can bypass persistence or exit warnings. Export a settings backup for migration between browsers or HTML file locations.
Fullscreen hides the enclosure. On touch devices, swipe left from the right edge for the emulator drawer. Back exits fullscreen first.
When served over HTTPS, supported browsers can install MOSaiC64 as an app.
No imported C64 ROM files were found. MOSaiC64 can start with its replacement firmware, but original ROMs improve compatibility and are required for the hardware 1541 path.
Choose them all at once, or select a ZIP containing them. MOSaiC64 will identify the files automatically.
